2012/13 was a very successful year for Medics' Rowing, take a look at what's been happening within the club and what's to come this year!

Kit Rows for KOP

This Easter Kit rowed the equivalence of the distance across Lake Victoria (an incredible 400km, or the distance from his hometown in Tavistock, Devon to Leeds) to raise money for the Kenyan Orphan Project charity. This is a remarkable achievement, and we all congratulate Kit on his determination to complete such a difficult challenge!

KOP, a charity set up by University of Nottingham Medical Students, has to date established a hospital, health centre, community feeding centres, a rehabilitation centre for street children and several primary and secondary schools. He managed to raise well over £800 in total during his fundraising which has gone a long way in supporting some of the projects Kit was involved in this Summer in Kisumu, Kenya.
